We met back at Ambion Corporation in Austin, Texas in 2005.  We then became Applied Systems and finally Life Technologies.  We faced many challenges integrating products, brands and teams!  We worked together again at Luminex Corporation launching molecular diagnostics products, integrating EraGen and GenturaDx, creating a strategic plan, new web site and a new way of presenting the corporate story.  We have teamed up to bring our knowledge and experience to the life science community.  We are Building 12 Communications!

HEATH JACKSON THOMAS

Heath was the Creative Director at Life Technologies leading 19 designers and illustrators.  He managed the brand identification for multiple sub-brands.   Previously, he was the Design Director for Applied Biosystems where he designed the brand ID for consumables products, managed the internal design group and also managed the external agencies.  He was the brand manager for Luminex Corporation where he performed a thorough brand audit, a brand ID refresh and a company-wide brand training and orientation.

SHEILA BURNS

Sheila was the Sr. Director of Global Strategic Marketing for Luminex Corporation, leading both the life science and molecular diagnostics marketing teams.   She was the marketing integration lead for the Applied Biosystems merge into Life Technologies where she was the VP of Marketing for the Molecular Division.  She managed the sales and marketing team at Pierce and led the Pierce team through the integration into Fisher Scientific.  Sheila was VP, Global Marketing for the Pierce, Endogen, HyClone, Mimotopes, Dharmacon and Abgene brands.  She began her career at Promega Corporation with over 10 years of increasing responsibility in sales and marketing roles.
